The case — Mitchell v. Davenport — has now been expanded through a First Amended Complaint and Preliminary Injunction Brief, raising multiple constitutional challenges to what the filings describe as a system that criminalizes silence, paperwork omissions, and compelled firearm surrender during routine encounters.

This case goes far beyond a typical Second Amendment challenge. It raises seven separate constitutional claims, including:
