Private Instruction: $300 for 2-hours
Private instruction classes are available upon request and are suitable for all experience levels. Perhaps you’ve never shot a firearm before and would like to have the instructor’s full attention and knowledge, or perhaps you’re an experienced shooter, but can’t seem to hit your target with the accuracy you’ve been hoping for.
There are many private instruction options available such as reaction time drills, drawing from your holster, scenarios, or honing your marksmanship by effectively implementing proper shooting techniques. Sometimes the one-on-one instruction you can improve in less time.
Range fees, ammunition and equipment cost will be extra.
NJ “Permit to Carry” a Handgun Training
NRA 50 State Basic CCW (Conceal Carry Weapon) Course: 16 hour Course - $490 or Private 1-On-1 Course for $690
This comprehensive course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense. The NRA CCW Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This instructor-led only course gives you direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end and may be conducted in a classroom and on a shooting range with an instructor.
The NRA CCW takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. This course is a two-day format. Course topics include Firearm Safety (Mandatory), Pistol Nomenclature and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense, Basic Defensive Pistol Skills, Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation, Mindset, Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment, Firearm Cleaning, and Sport Shooting and Training Activities. Students spend several hours on the range and shoot approximately 200 rounds of ammunition.
Course length is designed to meet State requirements for a CCW permit. Additionally, students may complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range. Students will receive reference books, take an NRA CCW Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.
What to bring to range on second day:

* Holster - OWB are required. No drop Holsters.
* 200 rounds of factory loaded ammunition
* At least 3 magazines for a semi auto
* Minimum of 2 Mag Pouches or Speed Loaders for Revolvers

NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course: 8 hours - $280
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This is the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. Course topics include gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor. This course satisfies the requirements for obtaining a Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit from Florida, Virginia, Connecticut and other states.
NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course: 8 hours - $280
This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.
NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course: 8 hours - $280
This course includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.
Basic Action Shooting / USPSA Introduction: 8 hours - $280
If you shoot a handgun for fun but want to go to the next level and participate in action sport shooting competitions, then this is the class for you. Practical shooting involves moving, identifying, and engaging multiple targets and delivering a number of shots rapidly. In doing this, practical shooting participants test their defensive skills as they encounter props, including walls and barricades, with full or partial targets, "no-shoots," steel reaction targets, movers, and others to challenge them.
This training will also build confidence in your gun handling skills if you carry a handgun for protection. This class covers the basic rules, procedures, competition classes, and etiquette concerning shooting USPSA action pistol. This instruction is a full day format on the range. It is designed to be one on one or small groups of three. The student needs to have gone through a basic pistol class before attending one of these sessions.
The student is required to bring their own pistol, DUMMY ammo, REGULAR ammo, multiple magazines, holster and gear.
The class begins with going over the basic action pistol gear, rules, procedures and etiquette. The instruction then moves to practice with dummy ammo, then live ammo on the range where targets are set up in different scenarios. These scenarios are then shot and reviewed. Equipment checks / ammo will be performed before every training session.
